Mint julep

🥘 Ingredients

• bitters
• brown sugar
  2 tsp
• fresh mint leaves
• sprig of mint
• water
• whiskey
  50 ml

🍳 Cookware

• glass
• muddler
• Lewis bag
• hammer or rolling pin
• bar spoon
• straw

   Put a handful of fresh mint leaves into the bottom of a heavy bottom glass . Add brown sugar on top of the mint leaves and use a muddler to release the mint flavour. Add a splash of water to disolve the sugar. (Optional) Add a dash of bitters

   Fill a Lewis bag 2/3 full of ice, use a hammer or rolling pin to smash the ice in the bag down to crushed ice.

   Fill the glass most of the way up with crushed ice. Top up with whiskey . Use a bar spoon to mix the mint and whiskey.

   whiskey: 50 ml

   Fill up the rest of the glass with crushed ice, add a straw and a sprig of mint for garnish.
